Meet Nissan's new entry in the North American sub-compact category that will go against the Ford Fiesta and Chevrolet Sonic hatchbacks when it reaches showrooms later this summer with prices starting from $13,990, (*) excluding destination and handling.

Visitors at next week's 2013 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit who will head towards Nissan's booth will be greeted by the firm's brand-new global auto show stand, complete with a new motor show fragrance labeled 'Thé Vert Oriental'.

Much like luxury hotels and retailers, the Nissan display will boast its own special scents, sounds and lights. Nissan says the new fragrance will evoke the aroma of green tea "during Chinese spring harvest", with the company stating that, if visitors leave a positive feedback, it will use it in its U.S. showrooms.
