Money can’t buy you love or happiness, but it sure can get you in a Lamborghini, and if you’re the kind of person who wants and can afford the greatest and latest, an Aventador LP 700-4 Roadster at just US$300,000, may bring a ray of light or two (pun intended) in your life.

Even more so if you happen to live somewhere warm and sunny to enjoy open-top motoring. Like Miami, for example, where Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann unveiled the open-top version of the Aventador on Monday, January 28.

Only the rare Lamborghini Reventon Roadster and the 1,200PS (1,180bhp) Bugatti Veyron Super Sport meeting up on the road are a good enough reason for gearheads to celebrate, but in this video clip recorded close to the East Midlands Airport in England, you will discover a few more rarities from the world of superfast cars.

Besides a couple more Lamborghinis, including a Murcielago, there's also a Mercedes-Benz CLK AMG DTM Coupe and a TVR Sagaris – and they're all travelling together on public roads at speeds we assume aren't exactly legal…

Firm Lamborghini is preparing a special model for the anniversary

Lamborghini have a strong year in 2011, with 2083 vehicles sold worldwide, an increase of 30% from 2011. Key to its success was the Aventador which is now sitting in 922 driveways around the globe. This dwarfed the success of Lamborghini once flagship Murcielago, which managed at best 425 in 2007.

Lamborghini need to quicken up their final verdict on their concept Urus SUV, if a decision is not made this year then they will not meet their forecasted 2017 on-sale date.

Lambo celebrate their 50th anniversary this year, hence the eagerness to develop a super-SUV which has been getting fans excited since the first concept pictures were released.

Stephan Winkelmann, CEO of Lamborghini has told a recent press conference in New York that a verdict will be made in the next 12 months to decide the fate of the Urus.

"We have to decide its fate this year if we want to maintain that target." Winkelmann said.

VW Group, the parent company to Lamborghini, will decide if they can allocate the budget for the project - the final say will be in their hands entirely.

Lamborghini is also planning a gathering this May which could feature 350+ owners driving to Sant'Agata Bolognese from Milan in celebration of the 50 years landmark, 250 owners have already signed up.

Last October, "United Against Nuclear Iran" (UANI) CEO Ambassador Mark D. Wallace, along with NYC Public Advocate Bill de Blasio and Iran180 executive director Chris DeVito, held a press conference in front of Maserati’s Manhattan showroom.

The three men had stated that Maserati, along with Lamborghini, have been added to the Iran Watch List as they entered into import agreements with the country – something they deemed unacceptable due to the Iran's nuclear program. Maserati, in particular, was lashed because it had said it planned to open a dealership in Tehran.

Three very different schools of automotive thought came together at a Cars and Coffee meeting in Irvine, California, a couple of weeks ago, for a mechanical symphony comprised of 32 cylinders, 19.7-liters and a whopping 1,884-horses.

Thankfully, the revving competition between the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4, 2013 SRT Viper and the Lexus LFA was captured on film by several visitors for our enjoyment.

Britain, like the rest of Europe, is facing a recession. Gulf States’ economies, on the other hand, are growing by around 6 percent a year. Add in the fact that the latter are the single largest producer of crude oil in the world and you can easily see why exotic supercars are flying out of the showrooms.

In Dubai, there’s a 20-month waiting list for the US$525,000 Lamborghini Aventador. It’s not just the Lambo: in the Gulf region, there’s every kind of supercar you can think of – and then some more.

Once a year, in the summer, many young affluent Arabs fly their hot wheels 3,000 miles away to London so that they can enjoy certain things that are forbidden in their homeland.

Actually this concept car is part of his course assignment and it is a great blend of past and future designs Lamborghini. Mark Hostler of Staffordshire University in England has created a concept car in tribute to Lamborghini's 50th anniversary next year. The transportation design student created his Ferruccio Lamborghini 2013 Concept Car to directly compete against Lamborghini's Italian rival's legendary Ferrari Enzo. The super-aggressive Lamborghini Ferruccio concept takes its cues from the lineup of V12s the Italian supercar maker has produced over the years.

As per the designer, the concept is "a car that takes inspiration from the company’s lineage, and also showcases the current design language and innovations of the company in their trademark flamboyant style." The concept’s front end, bonnet, and super-wide rear end were inspired by the Countach. The front and rear wings were inspired by the Miura, while the sharp nose and mirrors, and aggressive air intakes across the body and roof take their inspiration from the current Lamborghini design language.

"The Ferruccio Lamborghini 2013 Concept Car is a car designed to showcase both the past and future of Lamborghini, showing how new design and technologies blend seamlessly with the company's rich heritage and history," said Hostler of his creation. The technological aspect comes in the form of efficient parts and pieces. Motivation comes in the form of a more fuel-efficient 5.0-liter V12 complete withdirect injection, camless valve system and 'several turbochargers.'

Lamborghini Ferruccio utilizes both aggressive styling and engineering. The style of it is quite similar to a jet fighter. The designer knows very well that Lamborghini has to fulfill the strict emission regulation therefore he developed a power plant that helps the Ferruccio Lamborghini 2013 Concept Car to retain its V12 while also work as an environment friendly machine. Fuel consumption will be reduced to a great extent with the mean of direct injection and a computer controlled camless valve system.

Ferruccio Lamborghini 2013 Concept Car

In 1963, Ferruccio Lamborghini presented the first car that bore his name: the 350 GTV. A few years later, he would turn the sports car industry on its head with the mid-engined Miura, which would set the template for the Countach, Diablo and Murcielago that followed and established Lamborghini as a supercar manufacturer.

Despite its impact in the automotive world, and specifically in the supercar segment, the Sant’ Agata Bolognese plant was a low-volume operation: from its inception until 2002, annual sales averaged a mere 250 units.

By 2007, however, this number has increased nine-fold, thanks in part to the addition of the smaller Gallardo to the range, while today the Aventador is the fastest-selling V12 Lambo ever and has an 18-month waiting list.
