For the past five months or so, Ford has been steadily releasing web episodes of its ST Session series featuring the new 250-horsepower Focus ST hatch and a number of direct rivals like the VW Golf GTi and Honda Civic Si, while even placing it against the much more expensive and powerful BMW M3 Coupe.

The time has come for the fifth and last episode of the series, named "Control Battle", which sees the Focus ST in the hands of professional rally driver Chrissie Beavis challenging her colleague Matthew Johnson in a Subaru WRX.

Ford yanked the covers off a new concept model at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show on Tuesday morning showcasing the brand's evolved styling language but more importantly, its future vision for pickup trucks and how they'll improve fuel economy.

The Blue Oval won't say (yet) if the new EcoBoost-powered Atlas Concept directly previews the next generation of its best-selling F-150 series, but the truck's size and overall presence suggests that it does.

“The Ford Atlas Concept previews the innovations that will transform what people expect from their pickup,” said Raj Nair, Ford group vice president, Global Product Development. “With 36 years as America’s best-selling pickup, we are absolutely committed to setting the agenda in the truck market.”

While the exterior design of the Atlas Concept aptly evolves Ford's current DNA, the devil is in the details with the automaker making use of an assortment of active aerodynamic elements to reduce wind resistance.

As you have most likely seen in the past, young ladies (preferably dressed in revealing outfits) tagging along in ridiculously powerful sports cars and the overly-enthusiastic crew from "High Tech Corvette" go hand in hand.

In their most recent filming venture, they placed an unnamed woman / model (prior experience tells us that at least one of you will be able to name her…) in the passenger seat of a wild and loud Factory Five Shelby coupe upgraded with "a 04 Cobra motor custom built by Gemini Motorsports in Houston".

If you enjoy these types of clips, then by all means, click through the jump to watch the video.

We know what your first thought is upon looking at the above screenshot and then at the opening scenes of the video that follows, but that's not really the case.

While it may seem that there's an angry mob of people pounding on the Ford Crown Victoria patrol car, the reality is that all these men and women are actually helping out the officer!

There's a new racier pony car making its debut at Sin City's SEMA Show and it's called the Mustang Cobra Jet Concept.

It's a prototype version of Ford's factory-built turnkey drag racer that replaces the 2013 Mustang Cobra Jet's 5.0-liter V8 unit that's available with or without a supercharger with a new iteration of the V8 featuring a pair of turbochargers incorporating the brand's EcoBoost technologies.

It has been almost two months since Ford published the third episode of its "Focus ST Sessions" web on August 29, only to remove the video a few hours later, without ever explaining why it did so.

Now we see that the Blue Oval has re-launched the clip under the new title "(Abandoned) Block Party", again featuring the Focus ST versus the VW Golf GTI Mk6 with professional drivers Ken Block and Vaughn Gittin Jr. taking the wheel. Obviously, you will be wondering if Ford changed anything in the latest clip.

The conversation in this video may sound Greek to you, but that’s only because…it is Greek. Apart from an exorbitant debt, which may or may not kick started the Eurozone crisis that's knocking even on Germany's door, the Mediterranean country has quite a lot of mountains, too.

Its new car market may have sunk near the bottom of the Marianas Trench and fast cars are naturally not a priority for a large part of the population, but this doesn’t mean that car nuts or motoring journalists have vanished from the country.

Local publication Drive has taken advantage of one of those mountain passes to stage a hill climb fight between a pair of front-wheel drive hot hatches powered by 2.0-liter turbocharged engines separated by just 15HP.

Mark Twain once famously said, “The reports of my death are greatly exaggerated.” The same seems to holds true about the Australian market Ford Falcon, which will live on after all, at least for another generation, despite the rumors of its death because of declining sales.

In move that took most by surprise, Ford showed a teaser video of the all-new 2014 Falcon at the Australian International Motor Show in Sydney, on Thursday morning.

Drift Vaughn Mustang RTR
One of the many perks of being a professional drifter is that you have the opportunity to do things that other drivers can only dream of, like for example, sliding between and around brand new cars at a manufacturer's facility.

Welcome to the tedious world of Vaughn Donald Gittin Jr. who was summoned by Ford to its Flat Rock Assembly Plant in Michigan, which beginning in 2004, has built every Mustang to date at an average pace of 500 cars per shift.

Carbon fiber is up to five times as strong as steel, twice as stiff, and one-third the weight, which is why it has been widely used in aerospace applications and in the construction of racing cars.

Production models make use of this material as well; that is, if you consider a McLaren MP4-12C, a Pagani Huayra or a Ferrari Enzo a regular “production car". Carbon fiber is very expensive and takes a lot of time to produce, but those companies can afford to price their products accordingly.

The problem is that, so far, no manufacturer or supplier has managed to reduce its cost to a level that would make it suitable for regular, mass production vehicles.

The fact that Ford did not have an available 2013 Focus ST press car didn't discourage Edmunds' InsideLine from testing the hot hatch in the U.S., as the online magazine went ahead and spent $29,185 to buy a Tangerine Scream example from a local dealer to add to its long-term fleet.

After completing a quick break-in to settle in the mechanical components of the car, InsideLine then took Ford's 252-horsepower hatch to the track.

If you take a moment to check out Ford U.S.A.'s recent press releases on the new C-MAX Hybrid and C-MAX Energi plug-in hybrid, you will notice that the Blue Oval always finds some room to insert a reference or two…or three to Toyota's rivaling Prius V minivan, be that for its fuel economy numbers, pricing or features.

In Ford's latest release, the word "Prius" appears…15 times, but that's to be expected since the automaker is bumping the challenge to the next level by launching a new campaign to "establish C-MAX Hybrid and C-MAX Energi plug-in hybrid as better, more fuel-efficient hybrid alternatives to Toyota Prius V".
