Ferrari has an old habit of showing off its future models to potential buyers (read extremely wealthy) behind locked doors well before it reveals the cars to the rest of the world.

One such private preview is rumored to have taken place on Wednesday, in Maranello, where Ferrari lifted the wraps off the F150 Project, which is the codename for the Enzo replacement that may or may not be called the F70 in production trim.

To prove that this event did indeed occur today in Ferrari's home town, one participant took a shot of a metal plate from the event, while at least two people have shared some very interesting details about the new mid-engine hypercar, though, keep in mind, there's no way of confirming the numbers (yet).

New Details on Ferrari F150 Hit the Web after Private Preview, Said to have 950HP

Unlike McLaren, which has all but revealed the shape of the P1 and even released videos of its development, but is keeping mum on the powertrain specs, Ferrari has been very open about its own hypercar, currently code-named the F150 (rumor has it that it may be named F70). However, aside from a couple of teaser photos, Maranello won't fully show us the Enzo's replacement. Read more »

More often than not, replica sightings on eBay capture our attention for all the wrong reasons, but once in a while, we find ourselves taking a second look to see if what we're dealing with is real or not.

Such was the case with this Ferrari Enzo replica listed for sale in Germany, which was unearthed by CarScoop reader Bilal A.

Granted, the shape of the rear window covering the engine bay and the way it connects to the roof, or most parts of the interior including the gated shifter and the regular steering wheel, are a dead giveaway to the trained eye, but you have to admit that, overall, the builder of the car did a pretty good job.

There's a lot we know about Ferrari's next hypercar, but there's also a lot we don't. If we are to believe a report from Inside Line, then we can add the venue where the unveiling of the car we've come to call the F70 (even though the name has not been confirmed yet) will take place to the list of things we know.

The news site said the Ferrari F70's world premiere in front of a public audience will be held at the 2013 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit next January.

If true, then it’s more likely than not that Ferrari will give us our first online look of the hypercar towards the end of this year.

Ferrari Reportedly Planning to Lift the Veil Off F70 Hybrid at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show

Sitting behind the wheel of a special Ferrari doesn't necessarily mean that you are actually going to be treated like royalty.

Case in point, Ferrari's exclusive FXX program that kicked off in 2005. For a paltry $1.8 million, 29 handpicked special clients could enter the program, which included a track-only racer based on the Enzo that's powered by a 6.2-litre V12 producing 848Hp (860PS) at 9,500rpm in Evoluzione trim.
