While many of us might not understand why anyone would buy a real sports car like the Acura NSX (sold as a Honda outside of North America) and keep it parked in a warehouse for most of its life, we guess that you will appreciate the fact that someone did and you now have the opportunity to acquire it.

The eBay find is a one-owner, unmolested, 1991 NSX with only 4,882 miles (7,855 kilometers) on the odometer and no accidents. That's pretty rare in our book, at least in North America.

This 1991 Acura NSX has Only 4,882 Miles on the Odo and it's up for Grabs

In the American Motor Show NSX was presented almost as standard as also was shown the interior. The power plant consists of a petrol car engine V6 and two electric motors, packaged with a transmission with two clutches.

European premiere Acura NSX will be held in March at the Geneva Motor Show. Production will start in 2014 in Ohio, USA. Meanwhile, the Russian sales of Acura should begin in the next year, and the model NSX will come to us a year later.

Meanwhile, during the Detroit Motor Show Audi has supported the view expressed in Twitter, according to which the designers of the new NSX is simply copying the body of the prototype Audi Quattro Spyder Concept 1991. Discussion on the Internet sold outright, but the prospects for production supercars affect barely.

It may be designated as a prototype, but the MDX study presented today at the 2013 North American International Auto Show in Detroit is give or take 99 percent ready for production, as only a few things will change on the 2014 model such as the wheels, the bumper trims and to some extent, the light fixtures. Acura Previews Redesigned 2014 MDX, will be Offered with FWD as Well

Exactly a year after Acura first displayed a conceptual study for a new NSX sports car at the North American International Auto Show in 2012, the Japanese company returned to Detroit today with a redesigned version of the study that includes a complete interior.

When we first saw a set of leaked, low-quality pictures of the NSX Concept II earlier in the morning, it wasn't clear if the car featured any changes to the exterior design.

As it turns out, it does, beginning with a new front fascia featuring a much less pronounced version of Acura's beak-like grille with a new carbon fiber structure that also appears on the side vents of the front and rear bumpers. Acura also inserted clear turning signals up front, and an LED strip in the center of both taillights.

At the back, we also find a new diffuser made from visible carbon fiber as well as a new see-through plastic surround for the license plate section.

As mentioned previously, this is the first time we see the interior of the concept, which sports a minimalistic design without a lot of knobs and controls, and is dressed in a combination of leather and Alcantara with carbon fiber trims used on the dashboard, the elevated center console and the door panels.

Acura Presents Redesigned NSX Concept II with Complete Interior at the Detroit Auto Show

A Chinese website has dropped a pair of pictures of what is claimed to be the latest Acura NSX Concept, which the Japanese carmaker has already confirmed for the Detroit Auto Show.

Acura itself has described the car as "the next evolution of the NSX Concept". While we can't see any differences on the outside compared to the original study displayed at the 2011 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, there's a picture of the interior, which was not shown previously.

Official photos of the new 2014 Acura MDX Prototype surfaced on the internet today, ahead of the concept's world premiere at the 2013 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit later today.

As is the case with many recent Acura and Honda concept's with the "Prototype" designation, the MDX is virtually production ready. Only some of the flashier elements such as the front and rear bumper trims, and the window surrounds will be toned down when it goes on sale towards the end of the year.

New 2014 Acura MDX Prototype is One Step Before Production

Much to the dismay of Acura, the ILX hasn't exactly been the success Honda's near-luxury brand expected it to be selling a little over 12,000 units in 2012, or less than half than the 30,000 originally targeted. That's something Acura freely admits.

"The ILX is not hitting our sales expectations," American Honda President John Mendel told reported at November’s Los Angeles Auto Show, according to Wards Auto. "Consumers have told us they like the 2.4L and they wish they had an automatic, but they say the midrange vehicle is underpowered and they don’t see the value in it."

Two years ago, Ford was included in the Top 10 of Consumer Reports’ (CR) annual reliability survey, with more than 90 percent of its range rated average or better.

In the 2012 survey, however, you’ll have to look a long way down to find the Blue Oval: it occupies the next-to-last place as it finished 27th out of 28 brands rated, and its Lincoln luxury division is just one place ahead.

"Ford's bumpy road can be seen in the numbers. Sixty percent of Ford-branded models and half of Lincolns were below average in predicted reliability and none placed above average," said Jake Fisher, director of automotive testing for Consumer Reports.

Earlier today, a set of monochromatic renderings of the Acura / Honda NSX were posted on China's Sohu website and were quickly picked up by other sites such as Carnewschina and Jalopnik, with all claiming more or less that these pictures are of the 2015 production model and that they were leaked "from China’s patent office".

Well, we can assure you that this is not the case - period. To begin with, the pictures were originally released on the European patent agency on February 22, 2012, a little over a month after the concept was displayed at the 2012 North American International Auto Show.

This is NOT the Production Version of the 2015 Acura NSX, this is the Concept…

The extensive overhauling of Acura's North American lineup will continue with the next generation of the MDX three-row crossover, which was spied here in prototype form with less intrusive camouflage than before.

Instead of the previous prototype's heavy cladding, this test car was covered in a white skin wrap with some funky black schemes affording us a better view of the new MDX's exterior redesign.

From what we can tell, the body will have softer lines while the styling of the front end of the new MDX appears to be less prominent, but will continue to use Acura's polarizing signature "beak". Overall, it looks like Acura has chosen to evolve rather than revolutionize the current model's design.

Acura ZDX Resigns

The Acura ZDX is a mid-size, luxury crossover that was launched in 2009 with the goal of rivaling the successful BMW X6. And we all know how that turned out; the ZDX failed miserably in its mission, shifting only 1,564 units in 2011 and a mere 416 in the first half of 2012.

If Acura's head honchos gave it the boot, everyone would understand the reasoning behind such a decision. In much the same way, it would make sense to revamp it in order to generate customer interest and higher sales, as it had previously said.

Doing both at the same time, though, is something rather unusual…

Acura Sends Off ZDX with a Facelift for its Final Year, Should we Say Good Riddance?

In the history of the project, code-named "Revival NSX» were several sharp turns. The Japanese are not just changing not only the intended shape of the car or a power plant, but also the layout. According to the latest version, the new NSX will still be mid-engined.

In the beginning of this year, the Japanese have stated that they intend to formally withdraw our market brand Acura. It will happen in 2014. At that time it was not known which model Acura will bring to us. Now, in the company of Honda (namely its premium division is Acura) clarified: it is about crossovers and sedans. But the most interesting: in 2015, Russia plans to start selling and flagship brand - coupe Acura NSX, and simultaneously with the launch of the world.

Concept Acura NSX - a last look at a future production coupe.

Recall dvuhdverka Acura NSX supercar is the successor to the legendary Honda NSX, the only generation which was manufactured from 1990 to 2005, of course, with the restyling and modernization. The second generation, if the filling of the concept changes, will - in line with the times - a hybrid. In the new Akure behind the seats installed V6 engine with direct injection, complete motor. They both drive the rear wheels. In addition, another two electric motors mounted at the front and are connected to the front wheels. This combination is called the Sport Hybrid SH-AWD, it must provide excellent handling and dynamics.

The Japanese did not say how much power is developing the four engines together, but in order to compete, for example, with the Lexus LFA supercar or a (hypothetical for now) successor, "horses" will need no less than five hundred. In addition, there are plans to release a version of the racing NSX GTE with the index for the "24 Hours of Le Mans." In general, the machine should get a spectacular, not only in appearance but also in substance.
