In markets where Dacia isn't active, the Renault Group offers the Romanian brand's products under its own nameplate, which is the case with the new Renault Symbol that will be given its first public airing on Friday at the Istanbul Motor Show in Turkey alongside the revamped 2013 Fluence that we told you about earlier today.

Unlike the current Symbol that is based on the body and chassis of the second generation Renault Clio, the new model shifts to the Dacia Logan architecture.

The differences between the second generation of the Logan small sedan that made its world premiere in Paris at the end of September and the 2013 Renault Symbol are skin deep, or to be more precise, face deep.

When does a simple fender bender turn into an incident worthy of writing a post about? Well, duh, when it concerns a hot Italian supercar, of course.

While filming a dark colored Ferrari California driving with its top down on the busy streets of Cannes in the French Riviera, YouTube user Superlennyo was able to capture a white, older generation Renault Clio hatchback backing up, but not slowing down, until it scrapped the bumper of the Italian hardtop convertible.

Saying, “Let’s see what she’s got in her” and gunning a car for all it’s worth is a phrase uttered a billion times by drivers around the world. Doing so may or may not get you into trouble.

French minister of “industrial recovery” Arnaud Montebourg, certainly got into a bit of trouble when he uttered that phrase while taking the ZOE, Renault’s all-electric supermini, for a spin outside the Elysée Palace.

Unfortunately for the minister, the TV crew that was in the car filmed him hitting 66 km/h (41 mph), exceeding the 50 km/h (31 mph) speed limit by 16 km/h (10 mph).
